It was tradition in Sussex, England at weddings to drink from a vessel or cup in the form of a Sussex Pig. This cup was made by Rye Pottery in Sussex England and was modeled on a much earlier Sussex Pig wedding cup. Please see the last few photos that show a chip to the inner aspect of his left ear. The cup measures 5 inches long, 2.25 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The motto which is faint and difficult to photograph reads ‘Wun’t Be Druv’.
